Who is going to wear Valentino?

I was kinda surprised when i saw those pictures from the S/S 2012 Valentino Paris show. Long dresses, long sleeves, no cleavage or back exposed?

The fabrics and textiles are definitely BEAUTIFUL and BEYOND FEMININE, the photos do not do them justice. Such conservative and elegant dresses would look perfect on girls from my hometown in the middle east, for example, and Valentino has a huge clientele in this region but surely that is not what the designer had in mind?!

I mean, many European girls, for example, would not like to cover their legs in summer with such luxurious fabric unless they wear attending something fancy or socialising. At least not when they have to cover their arms as well! (However, there are some very pretty short and sleeveless dresses in this collection, too).

So, it is very classy,beautiful, feminine and princess-like but lacks variety and its not that wearable for the season! anyway, it does not have to be.. i mean its Valentino <3 !

HRH style | modern royalty

The Kardashians seem to be the "it" girls of now. lots of girls look up to them and try to imitate their style and makeup. well, their style is all about what's flashy and trendy like Louboutins and birkins. They are usually spotted wearing the most coveted items of the season.

Being too flashy as well as showing too much flesh would never grant you access on my style icon list (Sorry!).

What i think girls should look up is the Royal Style, looking classy and embracing their own beauty. Every girl should see herself as a princess :) or Her Royal Highness (HRH)! (but ofcourse not too seriously).. just taking care to express yourself in a classy way that shows how graceful and beautiful you are. Or at least avoiding vulgar (nouveau riche) styles :s

One of the ugly outcomes of the nouveau riche style nowadays >>>  the classy and classic Chanel bag is spotted on every other girl you see... Fake that is... i believe chanel should only be worn by those who understand the style of chanel and look like a chanel girl (im sure you all know what i mean :) ).


So, who are the modern royals?

Ofcourse, she is always well groomed ..shiny hair and classy makup..fancy textiles :)

Another approach to the classy look is looking natural and embracing your femininity.. like Charlotte Casiraghi.. the granddaughter of Grace Kelly has got the best genes in the world and she is beautiful beyond all reason!

 

 

So enhancing natural beauty by focusing on eyes, eyebrows, lips, skin and hair color would make you look waaaay more classy than having tons of makeup on your face.

Finally, you can express yourself in a classy way.. like Margherita Missoni ... not so much the outfits, but by the way she carries herself.. well, its hard to explain this one but have a look:

I could not find out who writes the dialogue for GG, but it is definitely one of the strongest elements of the show. Since Im big on everything beauty, It couldn't have escaped me!. Here is a selection of wit for you. Enjoy!

Caught my eye: Rima Zahran

The Dinz sisters wore colourful outfits to their pop-up shop @Saks fifth avenue in Dubai. I liked Rima's outfit more and her look was so relaxed and suited her duty as a cool host !

Those lovely dresses are from Dinz collection. But they look similar to those two designer styles. First is a label called Neon Edge by designer Mona Fares (below).

The second is the lovely Roksanda Illincic (below).

Italian men catch my eyes..

I respect men who dress up and make an effort to look elegant and masculine.. One is not always born with physical beauty but can always look elegant.. by making an effort! no excuses!
